About

Wide Aware was born when Raka and I met again after many years, and discovered that we shared the same passion for the outdoors and learning that we had when we began. Or perhaps, we evoked it in each other.
We shared many values about our personal experiences being what enriches the experience of those we guide into anything, and we shared a sense of incompleteness as we freelanced for organizations begun by passionate people that grew so big, that the dream of the original founder rarely entered the realm of experience of the clients, and the dreams of those physically present with the clients had numerous boundaries created by someone not present.
We wanted to have a space where we were free to create the kinds of transforming, free experiences that we had learned from for anyone entering the field. From going beyond seeing the objective of an experience as the stated deliverable to the actual experience, in all its whimsical glory, touched by every person that participated in it. We believe that this is more memorable and meaningful. It is also transformative and therapeutic in its own self.
With time, we started using this space for other things that call to us, and changework and development of adventure set ups is often now a part of our work.
With the birth of our son, we find ourselves increasingly interested in diversifying and sharing some of our growing load to people we trust and enjoy partnering with. We often have programmes where we partner with other organizations now. However, the programmes always have the unique Wide Aware touch and serve to add a new level of ease of managing for us, leaving us free to focus on the stuff that matters.

  1. vidyut / raka,
it took me all my sherlock ‘element-ing’ thinking to find WHO is writing all these here… vidyut. :)
not a mention of your name?

i found about you guys, through my facebook contact Anil Behal… and was interested. for, there are many passions and love i share with you.

is there a way to subscribe to your posts here – not RSS, but email?

if not – and even if you have thought about and decided not to – consider email subscription for people like me, please?

with that… i will end this beginning.

    love / b.

    • Heh. Sorry. The site has recently suffered from my webdesign experimentation, and the subscription forms are….. looking for them. I will put them up today itself, and add your email. You will need to verify it though. Will also make my name start appearing on posts again.

      Thanks for the observation.
