White Water Rafting
The ultimate team building activity. The surge of the water and the thrill of the combined will and skill of the team in riding it. Words fail to describe the exhileration. We become a part of the powerful river and use that magnificence to our ends.
White water river rafting makes for an exhilarating experience . The rush of the water and surge of adrenaline are matched only by the sense of accomplishment in knowing that each one of the people on the raft has contributed to its success - the ultimate team building experience!
Corporates like it for the closeness an experience like this creates. Eight people maneuvering a raft automatically tune in to each other and share an enriching bond .
This activity is perfect for people who want to actively participate in their adventures and suitable for youth groups , corporate teams and even families with children over 13 years of age (with a body weight of 40 kgs minimum)
Many kinds of rafting trips are possible
The rafts and other safety equipment are up to world standards and instructors are experienced on many rivers in India and Nepal and are trained in rafting related emergency and rescue situations. A kayak piloted by an instructor trained in water rescue accompanies single rafts (multiple rafts can depend on each other in emergencies)
We organize many kinds of rafting experiences in India including locations like Dandeli, Bangalore, Rishikesh and Manali.
Gear
A rafting trip will not usually require you to bring any gear. However, if you're planning to be regular about it, you will find yourself reaching to possess a particular paddle you find desirable, or a life jacket that fits you like you like it to or a rescue line, or dry bags and of course, the perfect raft. I'm adding a few links to products that you can buy online with a credit card, as getting any kind of adventure gear in India is a major quest, and it might be tempting to save that time for the adventure itself.
Specialized stuff I could see was footwear, shorts, life jackets...... take a look in the links below. I find the shorts and footwear specially good, as most of our regular Indian stuff isn't particularly suitable for staying comfortable when wet, and then drying really fast once out of the water.
I usually rely on Amazon to find interesting stuff
It gets easy to find loads of books, gear and stuff. If you think there might be something of interest..... this is what I've been looking into.
