Vidyut (also known as Sonia) is a filmmaker and handles the digital film productions, websites, animations and other media related projects for Wide Aware. She is also an adventure resource person and has completed the required basic and advanced mountaineering courses, first-aid, safety and rescue and a programme for facilitating outdoor experiences.

Her name means electricity and she is like that. Resourceful and fast, her multitalented mind works well when it handles 10 things together.

She has been an adventure tour guide for 6 years, in the Himalaya with foreign tourists in the regions of Ladakh, Zanskar, Spiti, Changthang, Kinnaur, Kullu and Banjar. Her experience covers treks, expeditions, horse riding trails, jeep safaris, cultural tours and specific interest tours (eg. Buddhist culture, archaeology, mountain horse survey).

Vidyut handles all aspects of filmmaking and Website design , programmes based o­n experiential learning and manages Wide Aware .
