Vivek Parchure, informally known as Bamman among the outdoor fraternity in Mumbai and Pune, is one different person you can come across. A soft spoken person, Bamman often carries more impact through his work than his reserved manner suggests.

At the age of 40, Bamman has an assorted mix of impressive work experience behind him.

A diploma in mechanical engineering led to 6 years in different fields as a project engineer with Innovative Technomics Pvt Ltd. His work here involved projects related with defense requirements. Noteworthy among these are Test rigs for Alternators, Landing gear retraction systems, Auto pilot systems etc. for Aviation; a test rig for generators on advance tactical vessels for the Navy and a hydraulic unit required for controlling the direction of a missile launcher for the Army.

He worked as free lance consultant for 4 years in the field of designing and detailing conveyors for cement coal and dairy industries serving clients like Alfa Laval, Krupp industries, Thermax, Space Age, Magadha consultancy and Mahanada dairy.

He has been involved with High Places from 1993 to 2003High Places is the organization that introduced the Outdoor Learning Methodology in the area of corporate training and conducting different training programmes to address diverse issues in India.

He furthered his learnings from these experiences with an internship in the field of Applied Behavioural Sciences through Aastha - an institute specializing in this field in Bangalore.

He regularly works as faculty on Ourbound Management Training Programmes and is estimated to have conducted about 400  outdoor management training programmes over last 10 years.

Clients include Kirloskar Oil Engines, ICICI Prudential, Ingram Micro (I) Pvt Ltd, Kirloskar Pneumatics , Daimler Chrysler, Thermax and Ambit Finance for objectives as varied as team building, change management, leadership, merger issues and even induction programmes. Participants range from Factory Workers to top scoring recruits and support staff to top management.

He has been involved in designing and conducting personal growth programmes for IMDR Pune and Bhartidasan institute of Management Trichi .
