Our cultural tours immerse you in the ways of life of the region you'd like to experience. We also conduct tours to focus on other specific interests like wildlife, religion, geography, flora, healing herbs.....

Cultural and special interest tours can be designed to focus on specific interests or a broad experience of the ways of life of a region. Special interests could include (but are not limited to) wildlife, homes and lifestyle, religion, archaeology, particular animals or breed (eg. the wild asses 'kiang' in the Changthang plateau or the special local breed of gaited ponies from the Pin Valley), particular professions (tantric 'Phuchen' lamas of Pin Valley or labourers on high altitude road maintainence, wild flowers, fossils, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries..... We tell you about the region you are interested in, you share your interests and together, we figure out a tour that focuses on selected details in a place that is so rich with information that it takes a lifetime to explore.

These are many ways of travelling in a cultural tour ranging from public transport and local stays to treks, horse riding trails and jeep safaris. Different kinds of travel are perfect for different kinds of tours and are best decided when planning the details of a tour.

From this year onwards, I am also planning a totally different kind of tour, which is basically based on my life and travels in the mountains.
