Outdoors as a medium of learning through experience is an effective way of developing a corporate culture. It has many advantages over traditional training interventions, the chief among which are its high enjoyment and memorability leading to lowered resistance to training and change management initiatives; informal atmosphere reducing barriers of formal relationships and performance anxiety; and the engaging nature of the experience which allows actions to flow naturally and magnifies choices, attitudes, responses, and their results in a manner that is conducive to being easily observed and examined. The action oriented programmes also provide opportunities that are inviting and low stakes resulting in lowered risk in experimenting with changing behaviour to influence the results. The action based approach also provides obvious points to initiate change in order to create the maximum impact.
Outdoor Training Interventions can be one time stand alone interventions, or a part of an overall Organization Development Initiative and woven into the organizations training design. While the first is quicker and less expensive, it works on the level of the team, and provides little support for the team to continue the changework and evolve. The latter can leverage development interventions within the organization beyond difficult to change areas, creating an organization wide alignment, dissolving barriers to communication and most of all, inviting risk taking and investment into organization goals. Such programmes can be designed to address virtually any problem diagnosed in the organization to create freeing opportunity.
The work we do is related with soft skills and emotional intelligence. We do this through different mediums like coaching, residential training, corporate interventions, workshops focusing on themes, outdoor management training programmes and outdoor adventure education at any of the many places close to Mumbai for adventure sports.
Corporates are increasingly choosing outbound off-sites to enhance the bonding and performance of staff as a part of organization development (OD) interventions. Today there is awareness of outdoor experience as an empowering option for increasing personal and interpersonal awareness among teams; and developing a sense of responsibility and self-management.
Outbound programmes are unparalleled in their capacity to build strong teams, encourage communication, promote leadership qualities and create bonding among team members. The exciting experience adds to the effectiveness and acceptance of the team building experience and the memorability is also transferred to the conscious and unconscious learnings.
The shared experience brings participants together and willing to work in alignment with the greater objectives of the company through a sense of belonging creating an organizational culture.
Corporate groups are not necessarily limited to corporates, but are basically about the functioning of teams in a shared environment. While companies most commonly opt for such interventions, there are many other organizations and even family groups. The objective in this work is to explore our impact on the group we belong to, and how the group impacts us and see how all these dynamics influencing progress toward objectives. These kinds of groups are used in professional, team or otherwise performance/harmony related objectives – NGOs, management or other vocational education, family, sports teams, volunteer projects…. anywhere where a group of people comes together, and their well being is interwoven with the well being of the group.

My son had liked the trek very much last year, byt he did not do rappelling. Can we do the same trip? The dates you have announced are finished. When new dates will announce?
